Garlic Mustard has Invaded

I was curious as to what this white wild flower was.  It did remind me of something and after a fellow traveler on the outlet trail told me, I realized it does resemble mustard.  When smushed in your fingers it smells garlicky.  The travelers on the trail were from Michigan and they had dealt with it on their property with the help of the University of Michigan.   It is very invasive and actually poisons the soil so that nothing else will grow there.  It is called garlic mustard. Alliaria Petiolata, native to Europe and Scandinavia and Morroco

I could not find it in the wild flowers of nys reference.  It can be made into pesto and is one of the oldest known spices.  I used the pesto recipe in the link with some Allairia Petiolata from my own back yard.
