Good News and Savory Bread Pudding

I am happy to report to all readers who have listened to my story of woe with family that I was invited to the home of my daughter and son-in-law today.  Grandson Peter, who is about 18 months was very excited to show me his home.  He toured me around the farmette and told me all about it in baby language.  I was shown the fairy land lego homes that my grand daughter made.  My grandson took the little floatable wooden boat I gave him and floated it in the ditch along the road when we went for a walk to lull the toddler into the napping state.
We had a nice day together and my daughter was spared the long drive of coming to visit me.
I even saw my sister and we had a nice conversation.  All of us sister's have had health woes this past year.

I am making a savory bread pudding with some stuffing that I bought at Thanksgiving that was still prior to expiration date.  I used duck eggs for the project recipe which I loosely followed from a recipe found on the internet.  I did not have guyere cheese, but I did have some cheddar I was intent on using up.  It has garlic, a leek and herbs de provence in it as well.   Here it is just starting to bake.

At first I thought this was an idea which was terrible, when I tasted it after it baked. Next day, I reheated it in the fry pan (a slice) and put lingonberries on it ....twas delish!
